A short 3 miles from I-81 in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. I went with the 5/1 cheddar jalapeno dog and the 5/1 German hot sausage dog(spicy hot). Both were excellent, and downright cheap @ 2.80 each fully dressed. The entire staff are wonderful, very welcoming.

Jimmy's Quick Lunch in #Hazleton, #PA has been slinging hot dogs the same way since 1937. One with everything comes in a steamed bun topped with their own hand crafted mustard, specialty chili, and cooked, diced white onions. They line their flattop grill with all manner of Dietz & Watson dogs, but I opted for a regular with everything, extra heavy toppings (.10 upcharge) and a 5:1 German frank with mustard and kraut. The German dog has some kick to it... maybe more than the jalapeno hot dog they also offer! I spoke with the owner Jim, who pointed out the name on the sign was actually his grandfather. I asked about their sauerkraut, and he said they don't make it themselves, but it doesn't come from a can and they do a little something to it. Whatever it is, it tasted good to me! As for the mustard? He used to buy the Medford brand in 55 gallon drums. Then the label and recipe was bought by French's, and then again by Kraft, and while it was produced in one gallon containers for awhile, the mustard was finally discontinued. Now, he has to do a little mixing and doctoring to approximate the old flavor as best he can. How good is it? Well, all the little old ladies who also used to use Medford to make their mustard chow chow (regional recipe for chopped canned veggies) now come to him for the goods! All he charges for it is a jar of chow chow for himself. #INeverSausageaHotDog

Really nice old school diner vibe. The omelet was one of the best I ever had. Toast and homefries were excellent!

It’s been run by the same owner for decades, and walking inside feels like a step back in time. The vintage decor, unchanged for over 60 years, adds a unique charm that’s hard to find. You cannot go to Jimmy's and just have one "Jimmy Dog"! It simply isn't possible! Such a perfect custom dog, great snap on the casing nestled in its warmed bun, mustard I could drink by the glass, perfect chili and those perfectly dices onions!!! Their CMP's (a sundae with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, marshmallow sauce and crushed peanuts) was velvety smooth! Just perfect! While visiting, our waitress was positively delightful and we enjoyed saying hello to Jimmy himself! Jimmy's Quick Lunch is a Hazleton institution. Just don't go there thinking you'll only have one hot dog! UPDATE: 12/15/23: Quality, friendliness, taste as good as it's always been. Absolutely love Jimmy's Quick Lunch!

Anyone new to the area should definitely give this place a shot. Hands down the best dinner I've been to in over a decade, and trust me I'm a tough sell on anything. The price and the quality of the food and overall experience is irresistible.
